Our Partnership with Cavell
Since 2014, Health Service Discounts has proudly partnered with the Cavell to champion their mission in supporting nurses and midwives facing personal and financial challenges.
We all have a lot to thank medical professionals for and along with Cavell we believe that we should offer the support they deserve. From disability to old age, domestic abuse and illness, there are several reasons why nursing staff may be faced with hardship, Cavell aim to transform lives and make recipients of their support happier and healthier.
Highlights of our Partnership
Cavell supports nurses and midwives facing challenges like disabilities, old age, domestic abuse, or illness. Its mission is to improve nurses' well-being and health, aiming to make their lives better and more fulfilling.

In addition to donating and fundraising to support the charity all year round, we run the Health Service Discounts Lottery. Through the lottery, we have raised funds to help Cavell continue helping nurses suffering from hardship.
Every time someone plays the lottery, 30p from every £1 is donated to a worthy cause. Since 2014, this has raised a fantastic £300,000.
How do we get involved?

The charity offers an effective, tailored package of support to help everyone who gets in touch. They give emotional support for those in crisis, advice on maximising benefits, signposting and referrals to specialist services, one-off grants to quickly relieve financial hardship and rapid emergency funding for those at great risk.
From simple, essential support like money to replace a broken cooker or travelling expenses to medical appointments, to vital life changing aid like helping a family flee their home due to domestic abuse, Cavell is here to help.

Applicants must be a current, former or retired registered nurse, registered nursing associate or registered midwife. Cavell also helps maternity support workers who work under the supervision of a registered midwife.
Applicants must also be currently living in the UK and have worked as a nurse, midwife, nursing associate or maternity support worker in the UK. They must be in financial hardship and have less than £4,000.00 in household savings, including money in savings and current accounts.
