Terms and Conditions for the Health Service Discounts Prize Draw
1. The Prize is £1,000 cash for a Health Service Discounts Member who purchases AA Breakdown between 14/02/2020 – 29/02/2020
1.1 In this prize draw, you could win the following prize of £1,000 cash if you purchase AA breakdown cover through Health Service Discounts between the dates 14/02/2020 – 29/02/2020.
1.2 Only one prize is available.
1.3 Prizes are subject to availability.
2. Promoters Name & Address
2.1 The promoter of the prize draw is We Are Discounts Limited of address Glasshouse Business Park, Glass House Rd, Unit 3, Wigan WN3 6GL (“Health Service Discounts is a trading name of We Are Discounts Limited”).
3. How to Participate in the Prize Draw
3.1 In order to enter this prize draw go to https://www.theaa.com/breakdown-cover/uk-breakdown/view-options.do?optMshp=vcon100&source=Affinity%20-%20WAD&utm_source=wearediscounts&utm_medium=affinity&utm_campaign=nhs and upon purchase and remaining on product for at least the 14 day cooling off period, you will be entered into the prize draw.
3.2 By entering this prize draw you accept these terms and conditions.
4. Start Date
4.1 This prize draw will start on 14/02/2020 at 00:01.
5. End Date
5.1 Subject to clause 10.2 the closing date and time for the prize draw will be 29/02/2020 at 23:59.
6. Eligibility
6.1 The prize draw is only open to members of Health Service Discounts who have purchased an active AA roadside breakdown policy (all variants) through Health Service Discounts between 14/02/2020 – 29/02/2020 and passed their 14-day cooling off period.
6.2 The following are not eligible to enter or win this prize draw:
6.2.1 employees of the AA or it’s holding subsidiary companies.
6.2.2 employees of Health Service Discounts or it’s holding subsidiary companies
6.2.3 employees of agents or suppliers of the AA or Health Service Discounts or their holding companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration, and
6.2.4 members of the immediate families of those identified in 6.2.1, 6.2.2 and 6.2.3 above
6.2.5 existing AA members (breakdown cover customers).
6.3 By entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Health Services Discounts may require you to provide proof of eligibility.
6.4 Entries not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be counted and will be excluded.
6.5 Entries which are (as applicable): received after the closing date and time, incomplete, misspelt, inaudible, incomprehensible or are otherwise not in accordance with the instructions given by Health Service Discounts are not acceptable and will not be entered into this prize draw.
6.6 The AA accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed or submitted due to a technical fault (such as a technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure) of any kind and/or where applicable. If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs when purchasing online, the AA does not take any responsibility for incomplete purchases and any incomplete purchases will not be considered valid for entry into the prize draw. Where applicable the AA accepts no responsibility for any purchases which are not completed for any reason.
6.7 You must be resident in England, Scotland or Wales.
6.8 This prize draw is not available to residents of Northern Ireland.
7. Selection of the Winner
7.1 The winner will be selected at random from all the eligible entries received.
7.2 This will be done by an automated process. The winner will be picked by the AA and the details will be passed across to Health Service Discounts who will make contact with the winner.
7.3 The winner will be notified by email (using the details provided at entry) within 30 days of the closing date of the prize draw.
7.4 Health Service Discounts Limited will endeavour to transfer the prize money to the winner’s bank account within 28 days of being accepted and confirmed by the winner but are not responsible for any delays in the banking system. The winner will be required to provide Health Service Discounts with their bank details and other information required, via email to allow the processing of the transfer.
7.5 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
7.6 The AA does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to claim the prize.
7.7 The cash prize will be paid by BACS transfer from Health Service Discounts Limited to the winner’s bank account. Payment cannot be made by any other means or to anyone other than the winner.
7.8 Bank details will be checked and verified over the phone before the winning funds are transferred. The account must be with a UK clearing bank.
7.9 The prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance and if a winner is unable to be contacted after 7 days of Health Service Discounts Limited attempting to notify the winner under clause 7.3 above or if any prize is unclaimed / declined within 7 days after being notified under clause 7.3 above the prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted and a supplementary winner may be drawn at Health Service Discounts’ discretion.
7.10 Health Service Discounts Limited retain the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available.
7.11 The prize is not negotiable, exchangeable or transferable for any other product or service or a cash alternative.
7.12 The decision of the AA is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
8. Limitation of liability
8.1 In so far as is permitted by law, the AA its agent or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
8.2 Under no circumstances will the AA’s aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising under these terms and conditions and/or the prize draw which do not fall within clause 8.1 above exceed £1,000.00.
9. Data Protection & Publicity
9.1 The winner may be asked to take part in future publicity.
9.2 The AA will use your personal data for the purpose of the management of the prize draw, including to assess your eligibility for the prize draw and to administer the competition. Please see the AA’s full Privacy Notice at: https://www.theaa.com/privacy-notice for more information.
9.3 Health Service Discounts will use your personal data for the purpose of the management of the prize draw, including to contact the winner of the prize draw. Please see the Health Service Discounts full Privacy Notice at: http://healthservicediscounts.com/privacy-policy for more information.
9.4 Health Service Discounts must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. We are required to make the forename, surname and the country of the winner available upon request.
9.5 If you object to any or all of your surname, country and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Health Service Discounts on [email protected] . In such circumstances, Health Service Discounts must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
9.6 Any personal details provided by you to any partner in relation to a qualifying purchase will be collected by them from you on their own behalf as data controller and you should check their privacy policy and/or any other applicable privacy notices provided by them for information about how they process your personal data.
10. General
10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Health Service Discounts may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.
10.2 The AA or Health Service Discounts reserve the right to hold void, suspend, cancel or amend the prize draw where it has become necessary to do so for any reason.
10.3 These terms and conditions constitutes the entire agreement between you and Health Service Discounts and supersedes and extinguishes all previous agreements, promises, assurances, warranties, representations and understandings between us, whether written or oral, relating to its subject matter.
10.4 These terms and conditions (and any issues or disputes arising) shall be governed by English Law, and the Health Service Discounts and entrants to the prize draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
