FAQs for Go Ape

  • Yes, by being a member of Health Service Discounts you can get access to our Go Ape discount code.

  • Go Ape is an outdoor adventure course that takes you in the trees and down ziplines while exploring the surrounding forest areas.

  • We would recommend that you don’t wear anything to Go Ape that you wouldn’t want to get grubby and dirty. While you might love the idea of wearing your favourite jeans, not only could they get ruined but they aren’t going to be very comfortable.

You should dress for every kind of weather, so be sure to bring your waterproof mac along with you in case it rains.

It is also important that you wear the right footwear to reduce your risk of falling. Make sure that your shoes protect your heel and toes and avoid wearing slip offs, high heels, flip flops or sandals.

If you have long hair then be sure to tie it back so it doesn't get in the way of the equipment.

Make sure that your top covers your stomach area otherwise you may find that your harness rubs and becomes uncomfortable throughout the day.

  • There are 35 Go Ape sites across Britain so you should always have a location within reach.

Some of the Go Ape locations include Go Ape Moors Valley, Go Ape Chessington, Go Ape Crawley, and Go Ape Dalkeith.

  • To complete a Go Ape Treetop Adventure it takes on average between 2 to 3 hours. The TreeTop journey takes around an hour. These times can vary depending on how many there are in your group and how busy the course is on the day.

  • The great thing about Go Ape is that you can do it in any weather conditions - as long as you are dressed appropriately. The Go Ape courses are sheltered from wind and rain by the trees so the rain won’t dampen your experiences on the day!

  • Go Ape only require you to wear a helmet on the Forest Segway as they think it's important that you retain all your peripheral vision when navigating the TreeTop Adventure.

  • Every Go Ape course is different so you should do your research before you go and choose your course depending on what facilities are available at each location. However, some of the Go Ape locations offer some exclusive facilities.

For example, Go Ape Aberfoyle is home to some of the UK’s longest zip wires. At 120ft high and over 400m long you can expect an exhilarating grand finale at this Scottish site just under an hour away from Glasgow.
