Sainsbury's eGift Cards can be used to purchase products in all
Sainsbury's stores, including TU clothing and homeware, as well as
in Sainsbury’s coffee shops. eGift Cards can also be redeemed
online at www.sainsburys.co.uk. Redemption value online is limited
to £50 per transaction.
Sainsbury’s Gift Cards and eGift Cards are non-refundable and are
issued for immediate use, except in accordance with your statutory
rights. Gift Cards and eGift Cards may be used as full or part
payment in Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd stores and online at
www.sainsburys.co.uk, subject to exclusions. They cannot be used
via the Sainsbury’s App, over the phone, at concessions within
Sainsbury’s or third-party retailers, at Sainsbury’s Bank, or to
pay credit card balances, and cannot be exchanged for cash or
resold. In-store eGift Cards may be redeemed directly from a
smartphone or printed and presented at checkout. After each
in-store use, any remaining balance will be printed on the receipt;
it is the recipient’s responsibility to retain this receipt as
evidence of the remaining balance. There is no limit on the number
of eGift Cards that may be used in a single in-store transaction,
however the total value redeemed per transaction must not exceed
£250. Where items purchased in store are returned in accordance
with Sainsbury’s refund policy, any refund due will be credited
back to the eGift Card. Gift Cards and eGift Cards cannot be used
to purchase certain products, including but not limited to: branded
gift cards, lottery products, PayPoint products and services,
tobacco and related products, postage stamps, all in-store
concessions, petrol and diesel, mobile phone top-ups, online
delivery charges, and travel money. Sainsbury’s reserves the right
to amend the list of excluded products at any time. Gift Cards and
eGift Cards are valid for 24 months from activation or last top-up.
If a card remains inactive for 24 months, any remaining balance
will expire and be lost. Some promotional or “short-life” eGift
Cards may have shorter expiry periods and must be used as stated at
the time of issue. For online grocery orders, Gift Cards and eGift
Cards must be converted into an online coupon at checkout. A
maximum of £250 may be redeemed per online grocery transaction, a
minimum order value of £40 applies, and delivery charges cannot be
paid using a Gift Card or eGift Card. Any remaining balance after
conversion will be held in the customer’s online coupon wallet and
will expire 24 months from the date of first conversion. No expiry
reminder will be issued. Where items are substituted or unavailable
and the value of the order falls below the converted coupon value,
the remaining balance will be credited back to the online coupon
wallet for future use within the validity period. Refunds for
online grocery orders are credited to the coupon wallet in line
with Sainsbury’s refund policy. Please treat Gift Cards and eGift
Cards like cash. Lost, stolen, or damaged cards cannot be replaced,
and Sainsbury’s is not responsible for unauthorised use. Funds held
on Gift Cards and eGift Cards are not covered by the Financial
Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). Sainsbury’s reserves the right
to decline, withdraw, amend, or cancel Gift Cards or eGift Cards
where it reasonably considers it necessary, without affecting your
statutory rights. By purchasing or using a Sainsbury’s Gift Card or
eGift Card, you confirm that you have read, understood, and
accepted these restrictions in addition to Sainsbury’s full terms
and conditions. Full Terms and Conditions:
